A Look at Volunteers from within the Workplace

The volunteers’ togetherness can unite their community, and of course it will help their local poor. Of course, arranging to be free to volunteer can waste very time that could readily be put to much better use elsewhere. And don’t you think that if you had your co-workers active alongside you, you’d all have a better time while volunteering? The obvious step, then, is for other companies to take a cue from firms like Connecticut’s Adaptive Marketing LLC. As well as financial and shopping benefits programs including Leisure Exclusives made for the benefit of consumers, Adaptive Marketing handles the organizational necessities so that its employees have more time to reach out to the community. Initiatives like these were always annual events - in today’s world, so much more can be achieved. The staff of Adaptive Marketing have been provided with the chance to get involved in community initiatives with more and less effort required. With all relevant information - location, time, date, details of event, etc. - prominently announced it is a simple matter for staff to settle the actual amount of time they’d be giving and how they’d be using it. Of course, it’s essential to let volunteers choose programs that fit their interests. Members of staff from Adaptive Marketing, the firm that offers the financial benefits program Leisure Exclusives, can choose from a selection of local volunteer activities. Once you start looking for possible projects you see so many; taking part in the entertainment and education of young adults, lending a hand to environmental programs, or supporting local arts and culture to list just a few that have already been tried. Adaptive Marketing’s members of staff are certain to find something they enjoy, ensuring they’ll spend their time happily and productively.

A regular addition to their schedule or a single big event - this is how a firm usually organizes volunteer initiatives like these, possibly at a local school or the homeless shelter in town. Staff may well say they don’t have the free time, though it would be surprising if they honestly cannot free up the resources to help at one instalment of a long term project.

It’s common practice for firms to assist the community in which they’re based. A sense of community goodwill comes from the actions of Adaptive Marketing’s staff members through these company-supported projects. The real bonus is, one of the benefits of helping others is a sense of accomplishment and generosity - a positive feeling that improves the entire corporate culture.

Immunohisto Chemistry Advancements Provide Better in Mesothelioma Diagnosis

Mesothelioma is a rare and aggressive tumor where no effective remedy is around in spite of the finding of several possible molecular and genetic targets. The final stages of Malignant pleural mesothelioma diagnosis and the long period of time that exists connects some exposures and diagnosis have made it tricky to fully evaluate the importance of risk factors and the insuing molecular effects.

Quite a few hospitals are witnessing more people that are suffering from pleural mesothelioma. This presents pathologists involved in making the diagnosis with a number of problems, that are broken up into those exposed in distinguishing between cancer of the mesothelium and worriless changes and those seen in differentiating cancer of the mesothelium from additional forms of e-cadherin and tissue tumors that connect. IHC plays a major role in diagnosing, however, it should be understood with regards to the scientific setting and radiological features, and taking into consideration the broad morphological differences seen in cancer of the mesothelium.

Malignant mesothelioma is a primary cancer of the serosal cavities, a basic location that is often affected by mets, mostly from primary carcinomas of the ovary, lung and breast. Advances in immunohistochemistry have caused an improvement in diagnostic sensitivity and cancer of the mesothelium in regards to histological and cytological material. Recently, the authors faction applied high throughput technology to the classification of new signs that may aid in being able to tell the difference between malignant mesothelioma from ovarian and peritoneal serous carcinoma, closely related histogenesis found in tumors and antigenic profile. Along with the improved medical devices accessible for cancer of the serosa diagnosis, understanding the biology of malignant mesothelioma has been accumulating recently.

Why Edward Abington, Jr. Must be Investigated!

“The American Diplomat in Arafat’s Corner,” published in The Jerusalem Report, came as no surprise to me. It was referring to Edward Abington, Jr., the United States’ former consul general in Jerusalem who is now “guiding the Palestinians through the labyrinths of Washington. And his firm is being paid $2.25 million for his expertise.”

Allow the following information to shed light on his less than faithful service to American taxpayers:

“Dear Congresswoman Kaptur:
Thank you for your valuable assistance in my pursuit of justice! It’s wonderfully refreshing to see some public servants truly helping out their fellow Americans.

It’s obvious from Mr. Abington, Jr.’s letter to you that he has strongly held political views that prefers the continued occupation of JUDAISM’S MOST HOLY SITE — the Temple Mount — by militant Muslims. Such radical views enable the Muslim extremists to continue to pose a threat to religious Jews and Christians who merely hope to pray on the site…

However historically or biblically inaccurate Mr. Abington, Jr’s views are, I believe he is entitled to them. I do not believe his personal views ought to interfere with his public duty. It appears he has DELIBERATELY IGNORED every relevant FACT that PROVED my arrest amounted to political and religious PERSECUTION.

As honestly reported in The Jerusalem Post article he referred to, I wasn’t interrogated…by 6 different SECRET SERVICEMEN about the TEMPLE MOUNT because of an “expired visa!” I charged Ms. Leech (his assistant) with complicity in their unjust actions against me for going along with their lie that my visa was expired and for turning a blind eye to their undemocratic ways. I’d given her a letter for Mr. Abington, Jr. to PROTEST MY POLITICAL ABUSE AND RELIGIOUS MISTREATMENT. Since he never bothered to respond, I’m not sure he even received it.

It was difficult to deal with Ms. Leech…since she was quite antagonistic, contending that Israel wanted to deport me because “you wanted to blow up the mosque.” When I protested that simply was NOT TRUE, she angrily ordered her assistant, “Go see what he’s charged with.” He came back and said, “Visa violation.” So she KNEW the real reason I was in jail was for being a member of the Temple Mount Faithful, but later went along with their LIE about my visa…

Mr. Abington, Jr. falsely accused me of being proud about my imprisonment. I’m not proud of it nor ashamed, but I do believe in making the most out of a bad situation…Why shouldn’t I use my horrible experience to underscore and further the JUST CAUSE of the Temple Mount Faithful? How could anyone fail to understand this?…After all, it’s the TEMPLE Mount, not the mosque mount!

Is it too much for an INNOCENT AMERICAN to expect his government to stand up for him? All I’ve requested from the beginning is for the Consul General to STRONGLY PROTEST my unjust imprisonment and deportation. They know what I say is the truth, but because of their hostile views, they’re playing deaf, dumb and blind to the fact that I was a POLITICO-RELIGIOUS PRISONER.

Frankly, they’re upset that I refused to go like a lamb to slaughter, but roared like a lion instead - exposing Peres’ corruption and their complicity. I will continue to seek justice until it is found….”

6 Steps to Destroy the American Infidels

The United States has enemies, which call the country the land of infidels. They have been plotting ways to attack. Some of their plans are quite ingenious using the system against us. But the best way to kill the Americans is to destroy their economy. So how would they best do this? I will give you a step-by-step plan on how to destroy America, it can be used to bring down any nation. Once the tactics are refined in the destruction of the US you can take this plan to other nations too.

First introduce Sarbaines Oxley and attack American businesses. Make the Corporations jump thru impossible hoops in over regulation and hire lawyers and accountants to lead companies and call all the shots, prevent them from the inherent efficiencies possible in business. Get corporations to dismiss any sense of value, quality or price to the consumer only following incessant rules, which you make up as you go and enforce selectively on whims. Honor people like Elliot Spitzer and promote them to governorships so junior regulators and lawyers will attempt to emulate. This will insure making the perception of all innovators and entrepreneurs into Satan like characters of greed. Thus they can be used as examples of evil so they will stop producing. This is a key ingredient of the plan to destroy America. These folks bring everything we see, everywhere we go in America to the point of abundance, this level of quality of life is an atrocity.

Second any plans made against America by International Terrorists must be sure not to attack any State Capital City where the most lawyers and politicians are. Especially Washington DC because they are doing more to make the United States of America an economic wasteland than any International Terrorist ever could dream of. The politicians and lawyers are on the team of the International Terrorists and should be kept safe from harm they are helping the cause of America’s decline and eminent fall. As a matter of fact if theses lawyers and politicians are allowed to stay in power there is no need for any International Terrorists in the first place, because at the current rate the infidel nation will implode on its own.

Third introduce a society of tattle tales, whistle blowers and crybabies who will not own up to their own incompetence, lack or productivity or personal commitment. Enlist misfits of society to run around and complain about everything and everybody, reward them and put them on a pedestal. Find regulators, politicians and whistleblowers and promote them to the highest levels of society. Then get those who are up and coming to emulate them. Hitler knew he could count on the next generation to serve his will.

Forth make sure to elect lawyers to office who have never had to make a payroll. Who argue over semantics and words and never get anything done. Give them worthless and ridiculous controversies to argue over. The more ridiculous the better, it keeps them busy doing nothing and causing more minutia to slow any efficiencies or progress.

Fifth stifle innovation and preach hate and divide the nation, making each person take sides. Prevent forward progression of the nation with complicated laws and rules. Attempt to protect people from having to be responsible for their actions and regulate morality at every possible chance. This is best to be done thru religion or government. Both will be best to destroy America.

Sixth attack anyone who attempts to alert everyone of your secret plan to divide the nation and cause its crash thru these tactics.

Sound familiar? We have spent a trillion dollars on Department of Homeland Security; are we better off, safer or protected? We have volunteers patrolling our leaking borders. What are we really protecting? Or are we helping in our own demise? Think on this, the media is warping your reality.

Politics- Is It Good At All?

Politics- a word detested by most of the common people. To an ordinary person, politics is a synonym to corruption, misuse of power, money laundering and other malpractices. Politics has earned such a bad name for itself everywhere, that even the most honest political leader is looked upon with suspicion. Elections come and go. Majority of the populace does not bother to vote. They know, once elected a candidate forgets his electorate and runs after money and power. But these elected leaders can play havoc or bring peace and prosperity in the society. It depends on both their decisions and participation of people. It is true that political decisions and activities affect all aspects of people’s lives. An inspired leader can bring a new life to a society. But a leader who changes like seasons brings nothing but unstability.

Right from start of elections, candidates go on talking glibly about their plans to work for the benefit of all. They give speeches, hold rallies, fund raisers and waste precious money and time- just for power. It’s after they are elected, their ambiguous talk is exposed. Elected representatives often get portfolios for which they are totally unqualified. Imagine an illiterate politician becoming a minister for education. Hard to believe but is commonplace in many backward countries. Such a man will be totally incompetent for office and may end up spoiling the education system. The common man won’t be able to do a thing except watching promising careers and dreams fade away into oblivion.

It’s nothing new that money gets decisions reversed. Bribe more than your adversaries and the decision or policy will be in your favour. Cigarette and liquor companies with backing of billions of dollars put public health on the path of deterioration. The governments do nothing. This was brought to light after so many years when a big tobacco companies were ordered by the American courts to dole out billions of dollars to people suffering from diseases acquired by smoking. Construction companies cut off trees in hundreds and thousands to build new towers and buildings. All with no objections from the government. The environment suffers.

In most cases common people get most affected while not even being fully aware of the reasons. Thats the whole irony of it. Most decisions and policies get formed without the peoples say. They are helpless watchers of the whole game.

Is it just hubris, or …?

In what the Americans love to describe as the war on terror, there have been no clear winners even though it has been physically going on now for over three years. By the looks of it, the tussle between the United States of America and its perceived enemy will outlast the Second World War at least in terms of duration, if nothing else. If so, it certainly represents a horrible scenario for the planet.

What lies at the heart of the conflict between the two sides — if, indeed, there is a second side to it — is a total misperception of the other. In the words of the book in hand, Muslims worldwide have been “infected by hatred for the US” because of its “support for Israel, Russia, China, India, Algeria, Uzbekistan and others against Islamists; its protection of multiple Muslim tyrannies; its effort to control oil policy and pricing; and its military activities in Afghanistan, Iraq, the Arabian Peninsula and elsewhere.”

On the other side of the equation are the Americans, who insist on taking a simplistic view of the matter; their leadership doing its best to portray it as a worldwide grudge against the American lifestyle which revolves around democratic freedoms, civil liberties, intermingling of genders, and separation of the church and the state.

While the book has done well to point out that the American perception is wrong, and that foreign policy blunders are to be blamed for the situation as it stands today, it has provided a sort of cushion to the American leadership by suggesting that it is taking a fatuous view. However, there are many a Muslim who feel rather strongly that the effort of the American leadership to portray lifestyle grudge as the basis of the whole issue has more to do with political chicanery than with honest innocence. The book fails to take into account this vital factor, but that, for sure, is not the only thing on which it has maintained a discreet silence.

Before moving on to such debatable issues, it is in the fitness of things to have a quick look at the book’s raison d’etre and its author. The book is based on all the insight that one can have on the matter while dealing with the mass of background information and latest intelligence that is part of life at the CIA headquarters.

The author was heading the CIA bin Laden Unit in the 1990s before he was removed in 1999, and has since been kept out of the frame as far as the US war on terrorism is concerned. With almost two decades of exposure to issues related with national security, Afghanistan and South Asia, he is still with the CIA, which vetted the manuscript before allowing its publication with the condition that the author remained anonymous. Before the latest title, he had also authored Through Our Enemies’ Eyes: Osama bin Laden, Radical Islam and the Future of America. The two titles together represent a rare case of a serving intelligence officer being allowed to comment on government policy; in fact, to be highly critical of it.

Stressing that senior US intelligence officers knew much before the 9/11 catastrophe that “a runaway train was coming at the United States”, he has argued that the American leaders “ignored repeated warnings and generally behaved as what they so manifestly are, America’s greatest generation — of moral cowards.”

Without directly linking it with his own removal from the key CIA post, he writes, “US intelligence community leaders ensured that most officers who recognised the extent of the threat bin Laden posed before 11 September 2001 were banished to language training, jobs entailing no bin Laden-related work, or excluded from meetings that might afford a chance to present intelligence honestly.”

These are strong words, indeed, coming from a serving officer against his own bosses and the US leadership at large. However, he blames it all on a lack of vision, and a mindset that may “protect careers, but does little for our country.” Even though he has repeatedly talked about the necessity of understanding the enemy from “his point of view and not our own”, the author somehow found it relevant to ignore the sentiment among certain quarters in the Muslim world that more than hubris or a lack of vision, it was perhaps a case of willfully turning a blind eye. After all, the biggest beneficiary of the 9/11 crime has been the US government which has used it as a license to unleash an armed frenzy on the Islamic world.

Besides, the whole world — including its Islamic component, unfortunately — blames it all on Osama and Al-Qaeda only, repeat only, because the US says so. The US, on its part, has blatantly refused to share any evidence that it claims to have against the man and the organisation. Why? The book doesn’t tell us that.

The author’s contention that the hatred among the Muslims is “martial not intellectual” is reflective of his own lack of understanding in this regard. For instance, it is not a martial approach to question the past of both Osama and Saddam Hussein which have linkages to the American intelligence machinery. If they were such bad characters, the US has a lot of explaining to do regarding its interactions with them. Besides, if ‘jihad’ is such an anathema to the US, why was it promoting that very concept all through the 1980s when it needed blindfolded Muslim youth to fight the American war against the Soviets?

There are several other ‘intellectual, not martial’ questions in the minds of the Muslims, but the Americans have never bothered to answer them. That definitely is hubris of the imperialistic order.

Interestingly, after a 250-page homily about American foreign policy disasters — Iraq and Afghanistan inclusive — and the author’s dissatisfaction at it, he has outlined what he thinks should be the future course of action. In a nutshell, he wants the leadership to shun its policy of “cowardice and defeat” and stop worrying about such idiocies as “international comity, civilised norms, and high moral standards.” This, again, is a reflection of imperial hubris that the author is clearly suffering from.

Even though the book is a purely one-sided version of the whole episode, readers in the Islamic world will do themselves a lot of good to actually go through the whole text — which, by the way, includes out-of-context quotations from the holy scripts — in order to have a realistic understanding of the stubborn American mindset; a mindset that refuses to acknowledge the need to change.

America Needs Election Reform to Ensure Congressional Honesty

America must implement a policy on Election Reform that is equitable and fair to everyone. It is something we must do if we are to be a progressive society, a society for everyone, rich or poor. We, the people of the United States of America, must take back control of our lives by taking back control of our government. And the only way we can do that - be a government by the people - is with a logical Election Reform Bill. It is past due because our elected officials are thinking only of their careers and their futures. As our representatives, the only thing they should be thinking about is doing what is right for the American people who are their employers.

America must make radical changes in order to change and move forward, bettering our society.

We must elect a president who is willing to put forth to the American people and Congress a constitutional amendment to lower the voting age to sixteen. Teenage crime has risen over the last four decades because America’s youth feel alienated. They either feel apathetic about their future, or they fear it. Consequently, and sadly for them and society, today’s teenagers enter adulthood with a defeatist attitude. They have no hope because they have no say in their own future. It is time to give them their say; it is time to give them the responsibility of helping shape their future.

With the information highway, and cable television, our children are more intelligent and more worldly than children of similar ages were in any time in history. We need to treat our teenagers as young adults. Our forefathers said that taxation without representation is tyranny. America must abide by its own laws. If an American sixteen or older earns a salary and pays taxes, then he or she must have a say in electing their representatives.

We must also have a president who is willing to put forth to America a constitutional amendment to restructure Congress. All terms of office should be for four years. The U. S. Senate should go from six-year terms to four, and the House of Representatives should go from two-year terms to four. Six years is too long for our senators to go without being accounted for by the people who put them in office. Two-year terms in the House are unfeasible in that representatives must spend most of their time away from Washington raising funds for their next campaign. It is more efficient to have four-year terms for all the people’s representatives, with no term limitations. This includes the most important representative of the people, the president. It is the people’s right to elect whoever they want for as long as they want. A government by the people. If an elected official is doing an exemplary job, we should keep them there to continue that fine work. No one, not even our government, should be able to take away that inalienable right from us.

Implementing a campaign tax in the amount of $20 for every adult and dependent, which would be matched by the federal government, would take away the power of the special interest groups and their lobbyists. A family of four would pay $80 a year. Based on a population of approximately 250 million taxable Americans, it would mean $40 billion every four years for the approximately 2,500 incumbents and challengers who run for president, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and governors. No candidate could spend any more than the amount they receive. Equal amounts for each office. The presidential candidates would receive the most, then those running for U.S. Senate, and so forth down the line. Political campaigns have become a contest of who can raise the most money. It has become a contest of who can purchase the most advertising. That is not fair to the American voting public. Wealth should have nothing to do with a political campaign. Equal time is the most equitable way to hear what our candidates have to say about what they will do for America.

Shortly after the end of the election, their accountants would have to make public all monies spent. This plan would stop candidates from outspending their opponent, from spending one week of each month traveling to raise funds for their next campaign, from taking PACs, and from granting favors. Most of all, it would ensure honest voting in Congress; votes that represent the opinions and beliefs of each politician’s constituency.

In return for this free funding by the people and the government, our elected leaders would have to spend a minimum of four days every month in town meetings hearing the peoples’ views on forthcoming bills. The American people must be heard, and they must be represented. That was the philosophy of our forefathers, of a democratic government, a government upon which this nation was built.

To keep campaigns on a respectable level, candidates can only advertise what they will do for the country (if elected) and how. Any negative campaigning should reduce their funding by ten percent. The American people have had enough of the lies and deceit. Negative campaigning is why only 50% of our country votes. It is one of many reasons why America’s politicians are looked upon as demagogues, with one purpose in running for office: To gain as much power as possible.

It is about time our politicians represent us instead of their own interests and pockets. It is about time America’s voice returned to Washington, D.C. Politicians have turned our society aggressive, hostile, angry, and cynical. Taking control of our elected leaders means taking control of society, which means taking control of our lives and our future. Although it means a small amount of money out of our own pockets, America must rally behind it.

Regarding the infamous Electoral College, the president must be elected by the people. We cannot allow what happened in 2000 to happen again. It proves that the American vote is irrelevant, and it will only lessen the amount of people who vote, and make our country more and more distrustful of government. A constitutional amendment abolishing the Electoral College, allowing the popular vote to elect our president is essential in order for the people to legally have their say.

All votes will elect our leaders and they will run an above board campaign and serve the people in an honest, communicative, and dutiful way! This will be our legacy to our children and to America’s future.

Your Right and Duty to Vote

We are told in America that we should all participate in our government and vote. Recently we saw in Iraq they had a bigger voter turn out than we did in America. And they risked their lives to do it too. In a think tank conversation discussion the future of American Politics one member when discussing the right and duty of all Americans to vote and be involved in their government said”

“Why should people get involved in participating in a lie? It’s all bull. The government does not listen; they do no longer need the people. Voting is a waste of time, because your intelligent vote is cancelled out by a TV watching cranial capacity lacking turned off individual who has surrendered their mind to the nightly news.”

This is a very heavy statement and many cynics do think like this, even very intelligent ones so something needs to be done to re-align folks to have trust in their government and the voting process. Some believe that the mass media hysteria creates a mob mentality and that the masses are a mob.

Further they believe that this so-called “mob” should not run the government, that they cannot be trusted. Perhaps this is why we have a Republic. Some political science theorists believe that pure democracies do not work, (they turn socialist, which leads to disaster) because people keep voting for free services from the government rather than being empowered to create opportunity and get those things for themselves and their families.

Indeed we must observe that as great as we are there is a growing mistrust in our government, the voting process, the lobbyists, ethics of politicians and the entire system as a whole. It would behoove America and her government to consider this in 2006.

Global warming - the planet joins the fight

Apart from these industrial gases, the carbon dioxide emission from locomotive machines like cars, airplanes, ships etc; deforestation of dense forests in order to pave way for agriculture, industries and cities etc are all causes of global warming. The varying climatic patterns seen all over the world will lead to some dry places getting more drier, some parts of the world to suffer from adverse floods, some areas of the world to receive heavy rainfall- more than the usual, sea levels to increase, melting of the glaciers due to high temperatures etc. The only way to slow the global warming and the climate changes is for us humans to stop producing huge amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, stop deforestation, which will help to produce more oxygen in the air and to use alternative sources of energy such as solar, wind, water or even nuclear energy to generate power.

Global warming seems to be a growing danger, now better understood and advocated many people join the fight against global warming and the education of the entire planet about the dangers of global warming and climate change, this looks like the first issue to ever cross borders and cultures, in a true threat to humanity on planet earth.
